Volant Autonomy
About
About Volant Autonomy
Volant Autonomy is a University of Bath spinout developing software for safe autonomous flight. Its portfolio covers risk-based mission planning, real-time deconfliction, integrated traffic management, detect-and-avoid and guidance functions intended to work across different sensors and aircraft.
The company led the £3.7 million ALIAS Future Flight project, which demonstrated how crewed and uncrewed aircraft can share an integrated traffic-management environment. Volant operates at the airspace and assurance layer, supplying planning and autonomy infrastructure for scalable BVLOS operations. Aircraft manufacture remains outside its scope.
