About Xense Robotics
Xense develops optical tactile sensors that measure contact geometry, distributed force and slip at robot fingertips and grippers. Its range includes compact fingertip and surface sensors such as Quark N1, Photon, W1 and Elf, together with the Aurora Lite tactile gripper for manipulation tasks requiring controlled contact.
The company also provides tactile visualisation, calibration and simulation software and the XTAC UMI G1 wearable system for collecting human demonstrations. Sensor streams can be combined with vision and robot state to train visual-tactile-language-action policies, allowing a manipulator to respond to deformation, insertion resistance and incipient slip rather than relying on camera input alone.
