About Xona

Xona develops commercial positioning, navigation and timing infrastructure for autonomous vehicles, robots, drones and critical systems. Founded in 2019, the company is building Pulsar, a low Earth orbit satellite network designed to provide precise location and trusted timing alongside existing navigation services. Its architecture combines software-defined spacecraft, navigation signals and ground systems. Compatible commercial receivers can access the signals through software upgrades, reducing the need for users to replace navigation hardware.

The company manufactures and integrates spacecraft in Burlingame, California, and also operates in Montreal. Its Pulsar-0 demonstration satellite established an on-orbit testing programme; Xona reports more than 500 transmissions and positioning accuracy better than two centimetres in its tests. Six additional satellites launched in October 2026, with four intended to begin customer service in 2027. Xona is scaling manufacturing and network operations toward broader coverage; its planned constellation remains distinct from the satellites already launched.
