About Yamaha Motor

Yamaha Motor operates a robotics business covering factory automation, electronics assembly and semiconductor production equipment. Its industrial range includes single-axis, Cartesian, SCARA and vertically articulated robots, linear conveyor modules and controllers used for conveyance, feeding, assembly, dispensing and inspection.

The company also supplies surface mounters, solder-paste printers, dispensers and visual-inspection systems for printed-circuit-board lines, alongside bonding and moulding equipment for semiconductor back-end processes. Yamaha began applying robots to motorcycle assembly in the 1970s and now develops, manufactures and supports these systems through dedicated operations in Japan and Asia. Its Hamamatsu expansion increased surface-mounter production capacity and consolidated engineering, production, sales and service.
