About Yamazen
Yamazen is a listed Japanese trading and engineering group that distributes machine tools and industrial equipment while designing factory-automation systems through its Total Factory Solutions organisation. Its robotics work covers vendor-neutral integration, application engineering and deployment support for manufacturers rather than production of a single proprietary robot platform.
In 2026 Yamazen became the lead operating member of the J-HRTI consortium, which runs a shared humanoid data factory in Narashino. The facility combines robot operation, annotation and industrial test areas so members can capture imitation-learning data and test manufacturing and logistics workflows before deployment.

- 2026-09-10 - Partnership - Cuebus, Yazaki and Yamazen announce humanoid manufacturing trial
The trial is scheduled to begin September 21 at Yazaki’s new Innovation Hub. Parts discharged automatically by the CUEBUS system will be handed to a humanoid for transfer into downstream production processes. The Sept. 10 announcement establishes a planned validation programme, not an already operating deployment.

The site opened with 35 humanoid robots and is designed to expand to 40. Dedicated robot, annotation and test areas generate imitation-learning data and reproduce manufacturing and logistics environments for rapid proofs of concept. Yamazen, Tsumura, DMS and Fuyo General Lease are operating members; INSOL-HIGH serves as secretariat and runs the shared data infrastructure.
