About

About Cruz Mobility

Cruz Mobility is an autonomous passenger pod built for movement through airports, healthcare campuses and other large indoor facilities. Cameras, lidar and sonar provide 360-degree coverage for localisation, obstacle detection and navigation through pedestrian traffic. CruzMapping maintains a current facility map, while the vehicle plans routes between destinations selected through the passenger interface.

CruzFleet dispatches vehicles, monitors availability and coordinates multiple pods across the site. CruzRemote provides operating data, diagnostics and software updates, and the modular chassis is designed for field servicing and replacement of key components. A&K Robotics supplies the vehicles as a managed deployment covering mapping, installation, workflow configuration, fleet operation and continuing support.

  • A&K Robotics tests Cruz mobility pods at Vancouver International Airport

2024-07-25 - Deployment - The pilot placed Cruz pods around passengers and airport operations rather than in a closed demonstration space. The pods were used to explore accessible terminal transport for travellers with reduced mobility. The Vancouver rollout became the operating reference for later international airport pilots, including Madrid-Barajas.
