About AM General UGV
AM General’s Unmanned Ground Vehicle is a mission-configurable platform built on the company’s 13-Series chassis. Its reinforced deck and L-track fastening support loads up to 5,000 pounds, while a remotely controlled T-boom crane assists logistics and equipment-recovery work. Published mission configurations include resupply, casualty evacuation, counter-UAS payloads and carriage of smaller unmanned systems.
The autonomy stack combines inertial navigation, an open MOSA-aligned architecture and network integration. Supported control modes include teleoperation, leader-follower convoying and supervised autonomy, with obstacle detection and edge decision support. Carnegie Robotics, Textron Systems and Swarmbotics AI contribute parts of the autonomy, drive-by-wire, communications and companion-system stack, making the UGV an integrated programme with partner-supplied subsystems.

- AM General announces XTEND aerial-robot integration for its autonomous UGV
2026-10-09 - Capability - The UGV carries the XOS-powered NEST launch pod and is set to display a SCORPIO 1000 system for reconnaissance in complex or GPS-denied environments. The JLTV A2 display will combine the Samson 30 mm remote weapon station with Iron Wasp, an autonomous counter-drone system carried by the vehicle. The configurations are scheduled for AUSA on October 12–14 in Washington, D.C.; NEST provides a mobile launch point that moves aerial robots closer to the mission area.
