About SiCore SA102
Amprius SiCore SA102 is a rechargeable silicon-anode lithium-ion pouch cell designed for high energy within a small mass and volume. The current technical sheet lists 4.37 Ah typical and 4.30 Ah minimum capacity, 14.85 Wh typical energy, 3.40 V nominal voltage, 33.1 ± 0.8 g mass, 450 Wh/kg gravimetric energy density and 950 Wh/L volumetric energy density.
The cell is rated for 4.3 A continuous discharge and an 8.6 A pulse of up to 30 seconds. Its published cycle-life condition is 150 cycles at 0.2C charge and discharge, 100% depth of discharge and 80% state of health. The pouch uses an NMCA cathode, requires external clamping at 30 PSI and carries UN38.3 certification. Amprius currently labels SA102 preliminary, so battery-pack developers still need to design protection, clamping, thermal management and qualification around the exact cell and intended UAV, robotic or mobility duty cycle.
