About Aurora Driver

Aurora Driver is Aurora's autonomous-driving system for heavy-duty freight trucks. The stack combines FirstLight lidar, imaging radar, cameras, onboard computing and redundant vehicle controls with perception, planning and remote-support infrastructure.

Aurora operates the system commercially under a transportation-as-a-service model, owning and dispatching trucks for dedicated customer capacity. In July 2026 its second-generation International LT fleet was running without a person behind the wheel across a ten-route Sun Belt network, with onboard personnel present only for roadside assistance.
