See & Spray

About

About See & Spray

See & Spray uses boom-mounted cameras and edge computing to identify plants as John Deere equipment moves through the field. Deep-learning models classify crops and weeds and activate individual nozzles for targeted herbicide application.

The system records treated area and operating data and integrates with John Deere displays and farm-management software. Current configurations support fallow, row-crop and premium spraying workflows. Blue River Technology develops the perception and application technology as a John Deere subsidiary.
