About C-Star
C-Star is a one-metre autonomous surface vessel designed for persistent sensing in coastal and open-ocean environments. Wind provides propulsion while solar generation powers onboard electronics, configurable acoustic and metocean sensors, edge processing and Iridium satellite communications. The compact hull can station-keep and exchange data as part of a distributed network.
Oshen operates C-Stars individually or in constellations for weather, environmental, scientific and maritime-security missions. The company reports a 2,000-nautical-mile autonomous passage and more than 200 continuous days on station. Customers can buy or rent the platform, or purchase the resulting data as a managed service.
