About 940 nm Multi-Mode VCSEL Arrays

Coherent’s 940-nanometre VCSEL arrays use a multijunction architecture to produce high optical power at comparatively low current. Published devices provide fast rise times around one nanosecond, reducing driver complexity and electromagnetic interference during short-pulse operation.

Product variants span several output-power ranges and include AEC-Q102-qualified devices for automotive use. The arrays illuminate structured-light, short-range lidar, proximity, occupancy and gesture-sensing systems in vehicles, robots, cameras and connected devices. Coherent supplies the laser source for integration with customer-selected optics, drivers and receiver hardware in depth-sensing modules.
