About DT46
DT46 is Delair’s convertible fixed-wing aircraft with separate vertical-take-off and catapult-launched configurations. The airframe can be changed between the two arrangements in the field. Both carry a five-kilogram payload, while the VTOL version uses a smaller take-off and landing area.
The configuration choice changes endurance and recovery requirements: Delair specifies up to three and a half hours for VTOL operation, compared with six and a half hours for the catapult-launched version with belly landing. The 4.5-metre wingspan and interchangeable mission equipment support extended observation and survey work without changing the core aircraft.
