About

About DJI Mavic 3 Pro

A Four Thirds Hasselblad sensor anchors the aircraft’s imaging payload, accompanied by medium-telephoto and longer telephoto modules. Operators can change focal length for wide establishing views or distant detail while retaining the same stabilised gimbal. The Cine configuration adds Apple ProRes recording and internal storage for production workflows with higher data-rate requirements.

DJI publishes a maximum airborne duration of 43 minutes, a 15-kilometre HD transmission specification and omnidirectional obstacle sensing. Those systems assist the remote pilot with framing, situational awareness and collision avoidance across outdoor shoots. Flight time and link performance remain condition-dependent, and the consumer camera platform should not inherit autonomous industrial-inspection tasks merely because its optics can record infrastructure.

  • Brazil Nut Fruit Detection Dataset from UAV Imagery

2026-01-27 - Research Publication - This dataset contains UAV-based RGB imagery of Bertholletia excelsa (Brazil nut) tree canopies collected in a native forest fragment in eastern Acre, Brazil. All images were manually annotated for the “burr” (fruit) class to support object detection and are provided in 640 × 640 pixel JPG format with a YOLO-compatible annotation files (.txt). A DJI Mavic 3 Pro was used to acquire canopy-level imagery of Bertholletia excelsa trees during the dry season, between 08:00 and 11:00, under natural lighting conditions. The dataset includes both resized UAV photographs and additional images obtained through data augmentation. The augmentation procedures applied image rotation, adjustments in sharpness, addition of noise, zoom transformations, and cropping operations. The dataset was originally developed for the study:Pereira de Carvalho, H.; Barros, Q.S.; Ferreira, E.J.L.; Ferreira, L.; Rodrigues

  • On-the-fly Large-scale 3D Reconstruction from Multi-Camera Rigs

2025-12-09 - Research Publication - Recent advances in 3D Gaussian Splatting (3DGS) have enabled efficient free-viewpoint rendering and photorealistic scene reconstruction. While on-the-fly extensions of 3DGS have shown promise for real-time reconstruction from monocular RGB streams, they often fail to achieve complete 3D coverage due to the limited field of view (FOV).

  • Aerial Video Recordings of Lion Pursuit and Interception Trials, Lion Country Safari, Florida, 2025

2025-05-10 - Research Publication - Dataset Description This dataset comprises high-resolution drone video recordings of lion predatory attacks on mechanized prey-lures, collected to investigate predator pursuit and interception strategies under controlled conditions. Study Overview A total of 67 trials were conducted across six focal lions, including three adult lionesses and three adult males (aged 2–12 years) housed at Lion Country Safari, West Palm Beach, Florida, U.S.A (https://www.lioncountrysafari.com). Trials were conducted between April and August 2025, within a 1.3-hectare enclosure. Male and female subgroups were tested separately in accordance with standard housing arrangements at the facility. Lure Apparatus Prey movement was simulated using custom-built motorized lure boxes from (https://wickedcoursing.com/), with paper cone lures attached via natural twine. Twelve guiding poles were distributed across the en

  • Morphological, Morphometric, and Distribution Pattern Characteristics of Optimal Harvest Phase Sago in Forest Area Based on Drone Imagery

2024-12-30 - Research Publication - The development of remote sensing systems is considered an important innovation in supporting the optimization of today's food crop production, especially the development of sensor technology that can capture detailed variations in plant information. On the other hand, Sago is one of the food crops that is considered to have the potential for development to improve the community's economy and increase global food security. The main objective of this study is to extract the morphological characteristics, morphometry, and distribution patterns of sago in the optimal harvest phase in non-cultivated areas. Very high-resolution Drone imagery was produced through recording with a flight height of 50 meters above the ground using the DJI Mavic 3 Pro. Samples of sago stand coordinates in the optimal harvest phase were collected through field observations. The characteristics of each sample were
