Aero2 / Aero-200

About

About Aero2 / Aero-200

Aero-200 rotates its wing and electric propellers between vertical and forward-flight positions, allowing runway-independent operation followed by efficient wingborne cruise. A two-stroke boxer engine generates electrical power in flight, creating a hybrid-electric system that avoids relying on batteries for the complete mission.

Dufour states a typical payload of 20 kilograms over 200 kilometres, maximum useful load of 38 kilograms and cruise speed around 125 kilometres per hour. The aircraft demonstrated the 20-kilogram, 200-kilometre mission profile in July 2026; serial production is targeted for 2027 and Aero-200 remains a pre-production aircraft.
