About FieldPrinter 2

FieldPrinter 2 is Dusty Robotics’ layout robot that converts coordinated digital models into full-scale jobsite markings. Two print heads produce lines, text, arcs, points, QR codes and supported image formats while a laser tracker maintains the robot’s position against surveyed control. The 10.4-kilogram machine is operated from an iPad and travels between print areas using onboard obstacle sensing.

Dusty specifies 1.6-millimetre print accuracy, 308-dpi output and continuous-line speed of 0.75 metres per second. The 2026 platform also supports floor-elevation measurement using the same tracker and control points, generating heatmaps and point reports without extra robot hardware. Accuracy depends on valid survey control, stationing and the specified floor, wind, rain and temperature limits.
