About EchoFlight

EchoFlight is Echodyne's compact airborne electronically scanned array radar for unmanned-aircraft situational awareness and detect-and-avoid integration. The 4D sensor measures target range, azimuth, elevation and velocity, and its software-defined processing performs tracking and object classification near the sensor. At less than 1 kilogram and under 50 watts, it is designed for aircraft where sensor mass and electrical load directly constrain endurance and payload capacity.

The radar operates from 24.45 to 24.65 gigahertz and covers a 120-degree azimuth by 80-degree elevation field of view. Echodyne specifies tracking updates up to 10 hertz, angular accuracy below 1 degree in azimuth and 1.5 degrees in elevation, and range accuracy below 3.25 metres. A Quick Start Kit supplies cables, mounting accessories and a protective case for integration and testing. Ongoing software releases provide radar-operation, classification, visualisation and support-tool updates.
