About Skypod

Skypod uses autonomous robots that travel across the warehouse floor and climb dedicated storage racks to retrieve inventory bins. Each robot carries a selected container to a goods-to-person workstation, where software sequences orders and presents the required stock to an operator or automated picking device. The system can place any SKU at any rack position, allowing storage allocation to change dynamically as inventory and demand patterns shift.

Exotec delivers Skypod as an integrated system comprising robots, racks, workstations, conveyors and warehouse-control software. Capacity can be expanded by adding robots, storage locations or stations while the installation remains operational. The system is deployed in retail, grocery, manufacturing, third-party logistics and e-commerce facilities, with Exotec providing design, installation, maintenance and lifecycle support.
