About A01

A01 uses one tendon-driven flexible segment to bend up to 135 degrees in any direction while keeping total mass to 750 g. The compact arm is intended for mobile bases, payload-sensitive carriers and early compliant-control experiments. Its three-finger end effector carries up to 200 g, with published end-effector accuracy of 10 mm and maximum speed of 0.37 m/s.

The control interface exposes joint-angle, Cartesian pose, tendon-length and tendon-velocity commands, together with position, velocity and pose feedback. Feagine provides ROS 1 Noetic and ROS 2 Humble integration plus Python and C++ APIs over USB UART. A01 entered the Feagine Edu series in August 2026 as the lightweight member of the range.
