Flyability Inspector
About
About Flyability Inspector
Inspector is Flyability’s companion inspection-data platform for Elios 3. Desktop users can review flight video and LiDAR point clouds in a 3D digital twin, localize points of interest, document findings and generate reports. Inspector Online adds centralized access, collaboration, textured-mesh colorization and comparison of inspections over time.
Inspector 5 is compatible with Elios 3 data, not Elios 1 or Elios 2 data. Desktop is included with Elios 3 packages, while advanced cloud functions require the Premium Software Plan. The current compatible release is 26.1.0.21 alongside Elios 3 avionics and Cockpit 2026.01.0. The 2021 Inspector 3.0 milestone belongs to the earlier Inspector lineage and must not be described as an Elios 3 release.
Timeline
- Inspector 3.0 software arrives for Elios 3 inspection workflows
2021-04-20 - Product Launch - Creating these point clouds does not require expensive technology, such as LiDAR, or long processing times, such as those required by photogrammetry software. By allowing drones to be used safely inside buildings, it enables industrial companies and inspection professionals to reduce downtime, inspection costs, and risks to workers. Locational data is also essential for synchronizing and aligning the different stakeholders in a maintenance operation.

Context
Market context
Inspector is Flyability’s inspection-analysis software for Elios drone datasets, bringing images, video, LiDAR point clouds and inspection metadata into a workflow for reviewing defects and sharing evidence.
- Target environment: Post-flight inspection review for confined, indoor or inaccessible industrial assets surveyed with Elios drones.
- Workflow context: Inspection teams import or review Elios 3 datasets, locate defects in context, organize evidence and prepare outputs for maintenance or asset-management decisions.
- Customer context: Industrial inspection teams, asset owners and service providers that need the drone flight to become a usable inspection record rather than raw footage.
- Deployment model: Companion software tied to Flyability’s Elios inspection ecosystem and cloud/local inspection data workflows.
- Commercial maturity: Commercial software in Flyability’s product stack, used with Elios 3 inspection data rather than as a standalone generic analytics platform.
- Adoption constraints: Adoption depends on Elios hardware usage, data-management process, team training and whether inspection outputs fit the customer’s maintenance/reporting systems.
- Market position: Positioned as the post-flight analysis layer for confined-space drone inspection.
- Adjacent products: Adjacent systems include Flyability Cloud, Elios 3 autonomy workflows, asset inspection software and third-party photogrammetry/point-cloud tools.
