About Hunter WOLF

Hunter WOLF is a compact six-wheel skid-steer UGV for carrying equipment across narrow trails, steep slopes and dense terrain. Its chassis supports modular cargo beds and mission equipment for logistics, casualty evacuation, communications, power distribution and field support.

Military configurations can carry weapon stations and specialist payloads, while utility versions support water purification, battery charging and extended cargo transport. The platform can operate through remote control and autonomy packages. Hunter WOLF was developed by HDT Global, which now operates under the BLADE brand.

BLADE advances Hunter WOLF to GroundBreaker 1 Phase II evaluation
2026-10-08 - Demonstration - The evaluation is scheduled for October 19–23 at Camp Grafton, North Dakota, covering technology maturity, operational readiness and cross-domain interoperability. Successful Phase II participants may be invited to submit Phase III proposals for a Prototype Other Transaction Authority award.

BLADE selected for Army Infantry Last Tactical Mile initiative with Hunter WOLF
2026-10-06 - Contract Award - The submitted Hunter WOLF is a six-wheel diesel-electric hybrid designed for light and dismounted infantry formations. BLADE rates payload capacity at 2,800 lb and describes the vehicle as production-ready at TRL 9. Configurable payloads support different missions, and the vehicle can export power to external equipment.

2026-08-17 - Demonstration - The UGV will be configured for autonomous logistics, casualty evacuation, communications and mobile power. The evaluation configuration includes two AN/VRC-158 radios, five Universal Battery Chargers, extended cargo rails and 15 kW power export. Hunter WOLF can carry up to 2,800 lb, and the trial follows Army evaluations with the 10th Mountain Division and 101st Airborne Division.

Hunter WOLF enters 10th Mountain Division field training
2026-05-04 - Deployment - Soldiers operated and evaluated Hunter WOLF across system operation, mission integration and sustainment tasks. Field configurations covered tactical radios, battery charging, water purification, CASEVAC, 15 kW exportable power and extended cargo rails. The exercise was the second Hunter WOLF event with the Army within a month and focused on direct feedback from a light-infantry unit.
