Helm.ai Driver
About
About Helm.ai Driver
Helm.ai Driver is a vision-only autonomous-driving software stack for on-vehicle deployment. Helm.ai positions the current system for production-oriented Level 2+ driving, with a certifiable development roadmap extending toward Level 4 autonomy.
Driver belongs to Helm.ai's real-time software portfolio, separate from its offline generative models for training and validation. Vehicle manufacturers remain responsible for sensor and compute integration, safety engineering, validation and the final automated-driving function.
Timeline
- Helm.ai Driver achieves vision-only urban autonomy with real-world city driving demonstration
2026-02-25 - Demonstration - The physical road demonstration covered turns at intersections, traffic-light compliance and interactions with other road users. The system used surround-camera perception without lidar or high-definition maps. Helm.ai describes the same software architecture as production-ready for Level 2+ and intended to scale toward certified Level 3 and Level 4 operation.
