About
About Joby Aircraft
Joby Aircraft is a piloted all-electric eVTOL built around six tilting propeller units and four battery packs. It is designed for one pilot and four passengers, up to 200 mph, a 2,400 kg gross weight and a 10,000 ft service ceiling. Joby publishes a 45 dBA cruise-noise figure under its stated measurement basis.
This remains a certification and pre-commercial production programme rather than an operating passenger service. Joby reports more than 2,600 full-scale flights and 50,000 miles flown as of December 2025, while conforming-aircraft assembly, FAA testing and production scaling continue. Those test-fleet totals are not presented as passenger-service deployments.
