About Polecat

Polecat is an autonomous surface vehicle designed as a configurable maritime test bed and mission platform. Its aluminium hull carries up to 400 kg of payload and supports autonomous waypoint navigation or remote control. The open deck and onboard interfaces allow naval and research teams to install sensors, communications equipment or target-training payloads for a defined trial.

The 5.63-metre vessel reaches 33 knots when fully laden. At a 12-knot transit speed, the published configuration provides up to 408 miles of range and 34 hours of endurance; higher-speed operation shortens both. Polecat's physical task and mission claim must follow the installed payload, since the base USV is intentionally multi-purpose.
