MAK Active Knee

MAK Active Knee is Marsi Bionics' powered robotic knee orthosis for supervised postoperative and neurological rehabilitation. Sensorised insoles on both feet measure gait and weight distribution, enabling the device to adjust knee assistance as walking speed and direction change. Therapists can use it for standing, walking, functional exercises and controlled passive mobilisation while recording joint range, strength and loading data during assessment and follow-up.

The orthosis can be fitted in about 4 minutes and is designed for users between 1.50 and 1.90 metres tall who weigh less than 100 kilograms. Battery operation is specified for up to 7 hours, with a full charge taking about 2 hours. Marsi identifies knee-arthroplasty rehabilitation and selected neurological conditions among its clinical uses and publishes contraindication criteria for clinicians. Patient selection, fitting, exercise settings and treatment decisions remain clinical responsibilities within a supervised rehabilitation programme.
