About GRoW
GRoW uses 3D vision and configurable ripeness settings to select greenhouse crops for harvesting. Two robotic arms work on opposite sides of the row, placing the picked produce into standard industry boxes carried by the vehicle. This combines crop selection, picking and packing within the same moving work platform.
The robot’s cameras also collect high-resolution colour images for crop analysis. Data gathered during operation supports yield forecasts and distribution analysis, connecting the harvesting process to farm management. MetoMotion designs GRoW for round-the-clock work with limited human support, using the same sensor system for both physical harvesting and information about the crop.
