About Microduck

Microduck is a 25-centimetre biped developer robot from Pollen Robotics for physical-AI and reinforcement-learning experiments. It weighs under 800 grams and uses 15 motors across its legs, head, neck and grasping beak. A front camera, an 8-by-8 time-of-flight depth sensor and two IMUs provide onboard perception and motion feedback.

Seven movement policies ship with the robot, including walking, crouching, recovery from common falls and roller-skating, with control running at 50 Hz on a Rockchip RK3566 computer. The SDK, MuJoCo simulation and reinforcement-learning stack are Apache-2.0 software; the mechanical and electronic design files are not open hardware. Pre-orders opened in August 2026 at $399, with initial deliveries targeted before Christmas 2026.
