MIPS Aegis is a safety-native developer platform for mission-critical physical-AI systems that require low-latency and agentic processing. Launched on September 2, 2026, Aegis sits alongside Acies for edge AI inference and Actus for real-time, event-driven applications. The wider platform strategy combines processor technology with software-first tools, open standards and workload modelling so developers can move from application requirements toward tailored embedded implementations.
