About MQ-9B SkyGuardian
MQ-9B SkyGuardian is GA-ASI’s long-endurance remotely piloted aircraft for persistent multi-domain intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance. Its September 2025 data sheet lists a 24-metre wingspan, 5,670-kilogram maximum takeoff weight, 40-hour endurance, 210-KTAS speed and 6,000-nautical-mile range. The aircraft carries Lynx multi-mode radar and electro-optical and infrared sensing, with nine hardpoints available for modular mission systems.
SkyGuardian combines automatic takeoff and landing, dual satellite command links and a detect-and-avoid system with a STANAG 4671-compliant type-certifiable design. The platform can support humanitarian response, border enforcement, electronic warfare, airborne early warning and strategic ISR through configured payloads. GA-ASI identifies SeaGuardian as the maritime-focused MQ-9B sibling; its maritime radar, AIS and anti-submarine mission kit remain outside this baseline SkyGuardian record.
