About RVP-A

RVP-A is a packaged two-axis positioner built around Nabtesco precision reduction gears for rotating and tilting fixtures or workpieces beside an industrial robot. The sealed, grease-filled architecture accepts servo motors from multiple manufacturers and is intended to reduce the design and assembly work required for custom positioners. Nabtesco's RVP-A05E reference model permits a 500 kg load with a centre of gravity up to 300 mm above the faceplate.

Its rotary axis is rated at 980 Nm and the tilt axis at 1,600 Nm. Normal and high-speed gear options trade reduction ratio for axis speed, while lost motion is specified below one arc-minute on both axes. RVP-A coordinates the orientation of a workpiece for welding, handling or processing, but does not itself execute the industrial workflow; cell controls, fixturing, guarding and the paired robot determine the complete application and safety envelope.
