About Dolphin 3

Dolphin 3 is a self-propelled rescue device that allows personnel on shore or aboard a vessel to reach a swimmer without entering the water. The casualty can hold or lie across the craft while the operator guides it back to safety.

OceanAlpha specifies a maximum speed of seven metres per second and towing capacity of one tonne. The platform combines remote and local control, live 1080p video, automatic activation, self-righting on the Plus version and GPS-based return when its link is lost or battery reaches a configured threshold.
