ESM30

ESM30 is OceanAlpha’s uncrewed surface vessel for collecting water samples and carrying water-quality instruments across inland waters. The sampling workflow combines physical collection with measurements of pH, temperature, dissolved oxygen, conductivity and turbidity, giving environmental teams both samples and spatial monitoring data.

In a June 2015 survey in Wuhan, OceanAlpha used the ESM30 with portable instruments to collect 673 samples from 53 lakes. The work produced sample reports, monitoring reports and maps showing the distribution of the measured parameters. This application connects the vessel’s movement and sampling equipment to an environmental assessment process.
