SL40
About
About SL40
SL40 is a portable carbon-fibre USV for hydrographic, bathymetric and flow surveys in rivers, reservoirs and other shallow inland waters. A 15-centimetre draft and debris-resistant waterjet allow operation where crewed vessels or deeper-draft survey platforms cannot work.
The 1.65-metre vessel weighs 42 kilograms with two batteries and reaches 10 knots. OceanAlpha specifies eight hours of endurance at three knots, remote control to one kilometre and autonomous operation to two kilometres, with configurable moonpools for integrating survey instruments.
