About AquaBeam Robotic System
AquaBeam is PROCEPT BioRobotics’ first-generation image-guided surgical robot for Aquablation treatment of benign prostatic hyperplasia. Intraoperative ultrasound and cystoscopic views identify the prostate and surrounding anatomy, while the surgeon creates a computer-assisted resection plan that preserves selected structures.
The system executes the approved plan with a robotic heat-free waterjet to remove prostate tissue. Its configuration comprises a planning unit, console, motorpack, handpiece with integrated scope and an ultrasound set. AquaBeam remains a marketed platform alongside the newer HYDROS system, and PROCEPT reported a combined US installed base of 505 AquaBeam and HYDROS systems at the end of 2024.
