Pelican Cargo

Pelican Cargo is Pyka’s autonomous electric cargo aircraft with a nose-loading compartment and a sliding tray for moving freight into the airframe. The compartment provides 66 cubic feet of space and a payload capacity of up to 400 pounds, accommodating regional deliveries and supplies for remote communities.

The aircraft combines a carbon-composite structure with Pyka’s electric propulsion, battery system, flight computers and autonomous control software. Pyka introduced the cargo design in January 2023 as a separate application of its aircraft technology, with testing underway at its Northern California facility at launch. Its published design range is up to 200 miles.
