plate::works

plate::works coordinates instruments, robotic handlers and labware within an integrated laboratory automation line. Scientists build methods through a graphical interface, assign resources and test schedules in simulation before running physical equipment. Both static and event-driven scheduling are available, so the system can execute planned batches or adjust queued work when instruments, samples or priorities change during a run.

Multiple methods can operate in parallel, with continuous and on-demand processing supported on the same installation. Resource pooling can distribute work across as many as three identical instruments, and scripting covers specialised decision logic that is not expressed by standard steps. User management, audit trails, worklists and features supporting 21 CFR Part 11 workflows address controlled laboratory operation. The software does not handle plates by itself: capacity, recovery behaviour and reproducibility depend on device drivers, labware definitions, instrument methods, validation and the connected automation hardware.
