RfAI-3

RfAI-3 is DroneShield's third-generation radio-frequency analysis engine for detecting and interpreting signals associated with uncrewed aircraft. Introduced in July 2026, it extends beyond matching only pre-catalogued emitters by applying wideband analysis to unfamiliar control, video and telemetry activity. Observations can be presented for operator assessment and used to improve the shared recognition library across compatible DroneShield equipment.

The engine is a software and signal-intelligence layer, not a stand-alone antenna or mitigation device. Its results depend on the receiving hardware, spectrum environment, configuration, library state and operator workflow in each fixed, vehicle-mounted or dismounted installation. Classification of an emission does not itself authorise countermeasures, and performance against newly encountered signals must remain bounded by field evidence as the development-stage system matures.
