MEMS Axial Force Sensor

Schaeffler’s axial force sensor uses MEMS strain-gauge technology to measure load along an axis. Its mechanical design isolates the measurement from off-axis loads and stresses introduced by mounting or temperature. A modular housing and integrated installation hardware support different packaging arrangements.

The family is configurable from ±500 N to ±5,000 N, with accuracy stated as up to 1 percent of full scale. Analogue and SENT outputs are available on a 5 V supply. These are configurable measurement ranges, rather than a single sensor resolution or a load rating shared by every version.
