About SeaCAT
Subsea Tech’s SeaCAT is a 6.83-metre aluminium catamaran USV for offshore inspection and survey under remote or autonomous control. The hybrid diesel-electric vessel reaches six knots, operates in sea state 4 and can transit in sea state 6. Its 500-kilogram payload capacity and stated endurance of up to eight days support sustained offshore missions.
SeaCAT can coordinate the surface vessel, a deployed ROV and a tethered UAV through one operator interface. Payload options include an ROV launch-and-recovery system, bathymetric and imaging sonar, 3D lidar, environmental instruments and sensor deployment wells. Automatic functions include trajectory following, dynamic positioning, pre-programmed missions and return to base, while Wi-Fi, cellular or satellite links provide the selected shore or support-vessel connection.
