Skylark 3 Hybrid

About

About Skylark 3 Hybrid

Skylark 3 Hybrid is Elbit Systems’ tactical unmanned aircraft combining an internal-combustion engine with electric propulsion. The combustion engine supports transit to the operating area, while electric propulsion allows a quieter observation phase. The two power sources provide propulsion redundancy alongside the extended endurance of the hybrid arrangement.

The aircraft supplies real-time day and night intelligence for division- and brigade-level users. Elbit rates the hybrid system for operations lasting up to twenty hours, with the propulsion mode selected around the mission phase. Its role is persistent tactical observation and reconnaissance using an aircraft designed for field operation in demanding conditions.
