SkyStar 180

SkyStar 180 is RT LTA Systems' trailer-mounted aerostat with a stabilised observation payload and a ground operating system for persistent surveillance. GPS and inertial navigation support placement of the payload's field of view and observed locations on a digital map. The system provides all-around observation and an interface to command-and-control networks.

The six-metre-diameter aerostat supports payloads up to 18 kg at altitudes up to 1,000 feet, with stated endurance up to 72 hours and a 40-knot wind limit. Cameras and communications-relay equipment can be selected for the mission. The trailer packages the system for transport and field setup by a small trained crew.
