Tom

Tom is The Small Robot Company's autonomous field robot for per-plant crop mapping and monitoring. It surveys around 2.2 hectares per hour and captures imagery at up to 0.39 millimetres per pixel, allowing the associated analysis system to locate individual crops and weeds. Low ground pressure reduces soil disturbance during repeated passes.

The robot is intended to operate over crops up to growth stage GS31 and collect field data for targeted treatment decisions. Tom supplies the physical sensing pass within the company's wider per-plant intelligence workflow; agronomic interpretation and downstream treatment remain separate steps. The record covers the Tom monitoring platform and does not merge it with sibling treatment robots or historical prototypes.
