Syrinx DVL

Syrinx is Sonardyne’s Doppler velocity log for underwater vehicle navigation, available at 400 or 600 kilohertz. The 400-kilohertz version bottom-tracks from 0.4 to 230 metres, while the 600-kilohertz version reaches 175 metres with higher single-ping precision. Both output DVL data at up to 25 hertz and resolve velocity to 0.01 centimetres per second.

An optional ADCP mode profiles water currents to 120 metres on the 400-kilohertz model or 80 metres on the 600-kilohertz model. Standard titanium housings are rated to 4,000 metres, with 6,000-metre and OEM versions available. Syrinx can integrate tightly with Sonardyne SPRINT inertial navigation, passing beam-level data for outlier rejection and continued positioning when fewer than four beams are available.
