Sora-iina Drone Delivery Service
About
About Sora-iina Drone Delivery Service
Sora-iina's delivery operation uses automatically flown aircraft to move medicines and everyday goods among communities in the Goto Islands of Nagasaki Prefecture. Customers and participating organisations arrange deliveries over island routes where sea and road journeys can make urgent transport slow. The service combines ordering, ground handling, flight operations and receipt at the destination; it is therefore an operating logistics system, not a specification for one named aircraft model.
The company began flights in Goto in 2022 and announced commercial prescription-medicine delivery in February 2026. Later that month it reported an area-based Level 4 flight demonstration, extending the operational evidence beyond routine scheduled routes. Availability still depends on published flight schedules, weather, airspace approval, trained operators and local delivery arrangements. Sora-iina does not publish one universal payload, range or airframe specification for every service flight.

The commercial service delivers prescription medicines by drone in Goto City on Fukue Island. Sora-iina positioned the service as a way to improve medical access in ageing, sparsely populated areas and reduce workload for medical and care staff.
