About SR-3
SR-3 enters filled aboveground storage tanks and moves across internal floor plates using eight-thruster control and autonomous navigation. A 256-element phased-array ultrasonic probe captures dense corrosion and defect measurements, while cameras document welds, coatings and internal conditions.
The platform supports API 653 and EEMUA 159 inspection programmes while the tank remains in service. Square Robot processes the measurements into corrosion maps, settlement information and certified engineering reports. The company has inspected more than 400 tanks across 17 countries.
