SeaBat T50-ASV

SeaBat T50-ASV is Teledyne RESON's compact multibeam echosounder package for integration into selected uncrewed surface vessels. It combines separate transmit and receive heads with an onboard sonar processor, internal solid-state storage and acquisition software. Tracker Autopilot automatically adjusts sonar settings during a survey. The system can record bathymetry, sidescan, backscatter and full or compressed water-column data in parallel, with an integrated inertial navigation system available as an option.

Its frequency-agile sonar operates from 190 to 420 kilohertz and forms as many as 1,024 beams across swaths up to 170 degrees. Teledyne specifies ping rates up to 50 per second, 6-millimetre depth resolution and maximum depth figures from 225 to 460 metres depending on frequency and pulse mode. Typical processor power is 90 watts, with a 110-watt maximum. Vehicle integration, acoustic conditions, sound-speed correction, vessel motion and selected operating frequency determine coverage and usable depth in practice.
