NOMAD

About

About NOMAD

NOMAD packages drone storage, launch, recovery, maintenance and command equipment inside a transportable containerised system. The platform is intended to support mixed fleets and can manage aircraft preparation, mission assignment and post-flight turnaround from a shared operating site. Modular bays and interfaces accommodate different unmanned aircraft and payloads.

Tesseract Ventures is developing NOMAD for dispersed military operations requiring a small support crew and rapid relocation. The system was selected by the Defense Innovation Unit for the Contested Autonomous Drone Delivery System prototype programme. NOMAD remains in prototype development and government evaluation.
