VEGA 11 is Grodi’s greenhouse-monitoring robot that travels on rails installed in the greenhouse structure above the crop. Cameras and environmental sensors collect measurements at planned stops along the route, creating a repeatable, georeferenced record across the growing area. Integrated charging stations support recharging after a round.
The modular arrangement is designed for different greenhouse structures, including traditional Mediterranean layouts. Data is sent into the Grodi app, where growers can view sites through maps, colour-coded zones and graphs, combining crop observations with environmental conditions. The overhead movement and repeated measurement points connect the physical scan to comparisons between areas and changes over time.

2026-02-25 - Funding - Grodi raised €2.5 million to industrialise and scale the commercial rollout of VEGA 11, its autonomous greenhouse robot. The company said the funding would support production scale-up and expansion across key horticultural regions in Spain and into international markets. The round was led by Swanlaab Innvierte Agri FoodTech, with participation from Axon Desarrollo Andalucía and Innvierte.
