Wildlife Drones VHF Radio-Telemetry System

Wildlife Drones’ VHF Radio-Telemetry System is a field kit for locating radio-tagged wildlife, invasive species and livestock from the air. The package combines a VHF antenna and receiver with embedded software, an aircraft adaptor and a rugged base-station laptop running the company’s real-time tracking application.

The standard aerial configuration attaches to a DJI Matrice 210, while separate packages support Freefly Astro and piloted aircraft. It accepts unique-frequency VHF tags from different suppliers and tracks as many as 40 tagged animals simultaneously. The system maps detections in real time and can remotely download logs from compatible GPS/VHF tags. It is a sensing and analysis kit, not an autonomous aircraft.
