About xCognition
xCognition is Xaba's no-code cognitive-control software for generating programs in the native languages of industrial robots and cobots. It supports hardware ecosystems including Fanuc, ABB, Kuka, Kawasaki, Universal Robots, Panasonic and Yaskawa, allowing manufacturers to use one programming layer across mixed-brand automation cells.
The software generates control programs for processes such as machining, welding, grinding, deburring, polishing, painting and pick-and-place. Its coordination layer can also synchronize multiple robots working on the same part. Because xCognition supplies programming and control logic, the resulting physical workflow still depends on the connected robot, tooling, sensors and workcell configuration.
Timeline
- Xaba raises $2M seed extension for manufacturing robotics
2024-01-09 - Funding - Hitachi Ventures and existing investor Hazelview Ventures also participated in the round. The capital was allocated to a new robotics lab and delivery of the xCognition and xTrude manufacturing platforms. Work with Lockheed Martin and Rolleri Robotic demonstrated tenfold absolute-positioning and fivefold relative-positioning and trajectory-accuracy improvements.
